Who can sell, and how verification works
Eligibility requirements for the Wehoz seller program, and how identity verification works: Stripe verifies you, Wehoz doesn't collect documents.

Before you start an application, make sure you can meet these requirements. They're the same list the application itself enforces; an application missing any required item can't be submitted.
Eligibility requirements
- A US business address. Registered entities (LLC, S-Corp, C-Corp, partnership, nonprofit) and sole proprietors are both welcome. You do not need a registered entity to sell on Wehoz.
- A tax ID. EIN for registered entities, or SSN/ITIN for sole proprietors. It's encrypted at rest; only the last four digits are ever displayed back to you.
- A Stripe account, connected after approval. We use Stripe Connect Standard. You keep your own Stripe dashboard, and Stripe pays you directly.
- Product rights. You either manufacture your products or hold brand authorization to resell them.
No document uploads
You do not upload identity or business documents to Wehoz: no W-9, no photo ID, no business registration, no proof of address. That verification is Stripe's job, and it does it continuously: when you connect your Stripe account after approval, Stripe verifies your identity, your business, and your tax details against official records, and keeps monitoring the account afterward. Wehoz never holds copies of your identity documents.
Until Stripe confirms your account, buyers can't purchase your listings; your dashboard shows exactly what Stripe still needs and links you straight to it.
The division of responsibility

Optional documents
A few documents are worth adding if they apply to you; none of them is ever required to submit:
- Brand authorization letter. If you resell someone else's brand. Speeds up review for resellers.
- Business license. Only if your city, county, or state requires an operating permit for what you sell (for example food, cosmetics, or repair services). Most sellers don't need one and we don't require it.
- Other supporting document. Anything else you want the review team to see.
Uploads accept PDF, JPEG, or PNG up to 5 MB per file.
Required application fields
The submit step checks for all of the following, and tells you exactly what's missing if you skip one:
- Business legal name and DBA (the store name shoppers see)
- Business type
- Tax ID (EIN, or SSN/ITIN for sole proprietors)
- Business address
- Authorized representative: name, title, email, phone
- Whether you're a manufacturer or a reseller
- The product categories you want to sell in
Categories that are off the table
Some categories are not accepted at all: weapons, ammunition, and firearms; alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis/CBD; adult content; and live animals. Some other categories are restricted; see What you may not list and the live Restricted items policy.
