- question: "When does Wehoz pay me?" answer: "Wehoz doesn't hold your money. Buyer payments settle to your connected Stripe account, and Stripe pays your bank on your Stripe account's payout schedule, which you can see and manage in your own Stripe dashboard."
- question: "Do I need a Stripe account to sell on Wehoz?" answer: "Yes. Payouts run on Stripe Connect. You can create the Stripe account during seller onboarding if you don't already have one."
- question: "Where do I see my payouts?" answer: "The Payouts page in your seller dashboard lists each Stripe payout, and your own Stripe dashboard has the full detail down to the transaction."
Wehoz payouts run on Stripe Connect. The honest one-line summary: Wehoz doesn't hold your money; buyer payments settle into your own Stripe account, and Stripe pays your bank.
Setting up
From the seller dashboard, open the onboarding page and connect Stripe. You'll either link an existing Stripe account or create one in the flow. Stripe verifies your identity and business as part of that connection; that verification runs on Stripe's side and on its timeline, and buyers can't purchase your listings until it completes. You keep full access to your own Stripe dashboard; Wehoz connects to it, it doesn't replace it. Your seller dashboard shows whether charges and payouts are enabled and lists anything Stripe still needs; both must be green before you can be paid.
How the money flows
- A buyer pays for your portion of an order. The charge is created with your Stripe account as the destination.
- Platform commission (currently 0%, see What Wehoz charges) is deducted before the remainder settles to your Stripe balance.
- Stripe pays out your balance to your bank on your Stripe account's payout schedule. That schedule belongs to your Stripe account; you can view and manage it in your Stripe dashboard. Wehoz does not set or override it.
Heads-up for brand-new Stripe accounts: Stripe typically holds a new account's first payout for a number of days after the first successful charge; that's a Stripe policy, visible in your Stripe dashboard, not a Wehoz hold.
Refunds and your balance
When you refund a buyer, the refunded amount is reversed from your Stripe balance, and any platform fee on the refunded portion is returned rather than kept. If your balance can't cover a refund, Stripe recovers it from subsequent sales per its own rules. Details: Handling returns and issuing refunds.
