Children’s Privacy Notice
Version 2026-06-A • Last updated: June 1, 2026
Who this notice is for
This notice is for parents and guardians whose children may have encountered Wehoz, and for anyone trying to understand how the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) applies to us.
Wehoz is not directed at children under thirteen
Wehoz is a general-audience marketplace. The Site, our marketing communications, and our product features are designed for adult shoppers. We do not knowingly market to, or design experiences for, children under thirteen.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children
Our Terms of Use require account holders to be at least eighteen, or the age of majority in their jurisdiction if higher. If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under thirteen without verified parental consent, we will delete that information from our records as quickly as possible and close any associated account.
Information that gets to us inadvertently
A child might enter information on the Site without our knowledge — for example, using a parent’s device or while a parent is signed in. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided personal information to Wehoz, please contact us at privacy@wehoz.com with:
- your relationship to the child;
- the email address, account ID, or order number associated with the information;
- a description of what you would like us to do (typically: delete the information and close the account).
We will verify your relationship to the child (we may ask for a brief affirmation under penalty of perjury) and then delete the information within thirty days. We do this at no charge.
What we do with the information after deletion
We keep a minimal record of the deletion request (parent email, account identifier, the fact that a deletion occurred, and the date) so we can demonstrate compliance with this policy if asked. We do not keep the substance of the deleted information.
If you are a parent and you would like to allow your teen to shop
Teens between thirteen and the age of majority may use the Site only with parental involvement under our Buyer Terms of Use. As a parent or guardian you accept those Terms on behalf of your teen and remain responsible for their use of the Site.
If we add features intended for older children in the future
If we ever introduce a feature directed at children, we will redesign this notice and the account-creation flow to include verifiable parental consent as required by COPPA. We are not planning any such feature today.
